There was a huge uproar during the speech of opposition leader Rahul Gandhi during the Parliament session. Rahul Gandhi showed the picture of Lord Shiva in the middle of his speech, after which Speaker Om Birla stopped him. After this an altercation started between the speaker and the opposition members. Rahul Gandhi asked whether he can’t show this picture. On this, Speaker Om Birla cited the rules of parliamentary proceedings and said that according to the rules, no placard or picture can be shown in the Parliament. Rahul Gandhi said “Is it forbidden to show the picture of Lord Shiva in this House..?”, “We got protection from Lord Shiva and I want to explain this by showing the picture, but you are not allowing it to be shown..”
