Accident..! So What..?

If a constituency elects someone with crores of hopes, those public representatives and public leaders are dedicated to their positions. They are playing dramas for them. No matter where the country goes, no matter how the people’s welfare is, power has become their supreme duty. Officials and ministers are constantly flouting the moral responsibilities they recite on the day they take oath as ministers. When hundreds of people lose their lives in accidents as a result of their lack of supervision and negligence, the first thing they should do as officials and ministers is to resign from their positions, taking moral responsibility. There is no doubt that the primary responsibility lies with the senior officials of the respective departments and the ministers who govern them. In the days when there was no “politics” in politics, if an incident occurred related to a ministry, the chief officer of that department or the minister would resign from their positions, taking moral responsibility. But, in these days when coalition governments are in power, that morality has disappeared. It is shameful to show humanity when an accident occurs and instead of wearing blazers and coats, inspecting the accident site and shaking hands, it is shameful. A true and honest public representative should resign from his post in front of the people at the accident site. That is a reflection of the morality of the leader. Many such incidents have happened in Indian politics.

In fact, the international level plane crash that took place in Ahmedabad, the capital of Gujarat, the home state of Prime Minister Modi, in an unknown manner, was left as a mere spectacle for the officials and ministers of the aviation department. Those who used to relax in AC rooms had to wear suits and shoes and see the charred bodies and their ashes with great difficulty. Moreover, they did not remember their negligence, detachment, and lack of supervision. It did not even seem to have happened. If they were the responsible officials and ministers, they should have resigned from their posts at the heartbreaking scene of the plane crash, confessing their mistake. But that did not happen. The only reason for this is the coalition government led by Modi. Three people should be morally responsible for the current accident. One is the Director General of Civil Aviation, the other two are the Minister of Civil Aviation, and the Home Minister, who oversees the country’s internal security. It is sad that none of them is considering resigning as responsible.
