United States prosecutors have called for criminal charges to be brought against Boeing relating to a settlement over two fatal crashes.Two accidents within six months involving the firm’s 737 Max aircraft resulted in the deaths of 346 passengers.In 2021, Boeing agreed to pay a £2 billion settlement and prosecutors asked the court to drop criminal charges after three years if the firm met certain criteria.But last month the US Department of Justice said Boeing had breached the terms of the deal.
